JDRF Northwest is working to speed a cure for type 1 diabetes
November 3, 2009

Dear friends of JDRF Northwest –

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and we have two-family friendly events to mark World Diabetes Day on Nov. 14. Please join us for an evening of fun in Tacoma or Everett, and learn about the upcoming Children with Diabetes Conference in Seattle Nov. 20-22.

Nov. 14: World Diabetes Day Events in Everett & Tacoma

The United Nations designated Nov. 14 as World Diabetes Day, and we are sponsoring two great events to honor this special day with other families affected by type 1 diabetes. Please join us on Nov. 14 at the Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett or at Edgeworks Climbing in Tacoma for a night of family fun. Advance registration is requested for both events.

Nov. 20-22: Children with Diabetes Conference in Seattle

The Children with Diabetes “Focus on Technology” conference takes place at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel on Nov. 20-22. Hear from experts in the field, learn about the latest type 1 technology, try out an insulin pump or glucose sensor, and attend discussions on dealing with diabetes in school, sports, and much more.

Please contact us with any questions at 206-838-5153, and we look forward to seeing you in November.

Regards,

JDRF Northwest
