Local Heroes
We salute these heroes in the fight against type 1 diabetes:
- South Sound kids creating awareness for type 1 diabetes and gingerbread artwork for Tacoma’s Gingerbread Village
- University of Washington professor Irl Hirsch, M.D., who served as a co-investigator on the JDRF-funded study linking CGMs to improved blood sugar control
- JDRF Northwest volunteer Henrietta Cottingham, for supporting JDRF and encouraging others to do the same
- New members of the JDRF Northwest Chapter Board: Dr. Richard Mauseth, Jack Nagan, and Dustin Grosse.
