Seattle-Area, WA Events
- July 16: Beat the Bridge Awards Party featuring Mountaineer Will Cross (Seattle, WA) – Join us at 6:30pm July 16 at the Pacific Science Center (enter at the north date) to celebrate at the Beat the Bridge Awards Party, and hear from type 1 climber Will Cross. Cross has ascended the highest peaks on all seven continents, and walked to the North and South Poles, all while managing diabetes. - Sept. 26: Seattle-Sweden Diabetes Awareness Day/Research Update (Seattle, WA) – Hear recent news in type 1 diabetes research and care on Sept. 26 at Seattle Children’s Hospital on Sept. 26. The day-long event includes updates on the JDRF sensor study, the Diamyd vaccine aimed at type 1 prevention, insulin-producing stem cells, JDRF’s new clinical trial matching service, and new research from Seattle and Swedish scientists. - July 21: South Sound Walk to Cure Diabetes Awards Party (Tacoma, WA)– South Sound Walkers—celebrate your success in raising more than $300,000 for type 1 diabetes with us from 6-8pm on July 21 at the Tacoma Art Museum! - Sept. 12: On the Greens Golf Tournament (Gig Harbor, WA) – Join us on the links and support a cure for type 1 diabetes! JDRF Northwest’s annual golf tournament and dinner auction takes place on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the beautiful Canterwood Golf and Country Club in Gig Harbor.
