Research Update

Join JDRF Northwest Chapter for our annual Research Update with Dr. Darlene Deecher, Senior Vice President of Research.

Dr. Deecher will speak to the new focus of JDRF research efforts, Translational Research.  Translational Research places an emphasis on translating research from lab to living room to achieve tangible and meaningful patient outcomes.  We hope to share this exciting time with you.

When: Wednesday, February 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Volney Auditorium, Virginia Mason Medical Center; 1201 Terry Avenue, Seattle, WA  98164 (Lindeman Pavilion, Level 1).
Topic: Transforming JDRF Research to Impact Lives of Patients with Type 1 Diabetes.

2012 Alaska Walk to Cure Diabetes

Join JDRF and supporters from around the great state of Alaska for the Inaugural Alaska Walk to Cure Diabetes. The walk will be the first of many events to raise awareness about T1D and the mission of JDRF to treat, cure and prevent the disease.

When: Saturday, June 9, 2012, 8:00 a.m.
Where: Cuddy Park
What: Fun, food, and festivities!
